RosaceaRosacea is a common condition that affects adults and presents with redness on the cheeks and central face.  The redness is caused by small blood vessels that tend to flush with many exacerbating factors.  The most common factors include alcohol ingestion, sunlight, hot drinks and emotion.  Another component of rosacea may be pimples and deeper inflammatory cysts.  Rosacea is often treated with topical agents, occasionally oral antibiotics, and laser to improve the cosmetic appearance of the skin.   Rosacea is often well controlled with appropriate treatment.
