Skin Infections

Skin-InfectionsMost people are susceptible to skin infections, which are caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses.

Bacterial infections of the skin may be pustules, boils, crusted areas or painful red patches (cellulitis). Fungal infections are caused by microscopic organisms that live on the hair, nails, and outer layers of the skin. They may cause circular patches, scaly areas, and rashes.  There are many different types of viral skin infection including warts, shingles (herpes zoster) and cold sores, to name just a few.

At our office, we diagnose and treat every type of skin infection and provide treatment.
